Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 2 cups poha


  • 1/2 Cup peanuts


  • 2 onion finely chopped


  • 2 Green Chili finely chopped


  • 2 tbsp lemon juice


  • 15 curry leaves


  • 1/4 Cup peas frozen


  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds


  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds


  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar


  • 1/3 tsp turmeric


  • 2 tbsp cooking oil


  • 1 tsp salt or to taste


  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander chopped

Directions

  • Put the poha on strainer and pour a jug of water to wash them thoroughly.
  • Let the water strain out from it by keeping it aside for 10-15 mins.
  • Heat a pan & add peanuts to it. Roast it for 2-3 mins on low-medium flame. Keep stirring continuously.
  • Take out the roasted peanuts from pan and put them on plate.
  • Heat the pan, add oil to it. Now add cumin-mustard seeds, followed by green chilli & curry leaves and fry it for few seconds on medium flame.
  • Add sugar and mix it.
  • Add onion and fry them on low-med flame for 2-3 mins till it turns golden-brown.
  • Add turmeric and saute mixture for few seconds.
  • Add roasted peanuts & peas and mix well.
  • Now add poha and gently mix it.
  • Add salt to taste & saute for a min. ‎Cover the pan and cook it for a minute on low flame.
  • After a min, stir the poha once and add lemon juice & coriander leaves to it. Saute it for few seconds.
  • Now cover the pan again and let it cook on low flame for a minute.
  • After a min, stir the poha and turn off the flame. Poha is ready to serve.
