Semolina Toast

  • 1 cup semolina/ sooji

  • 1 cup curd

  • 2 green chilli, finely chopped

  • 1/2 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 3 tbsp tomatoes, finely chopped

  • 3 tbsp onion, finely chopped

  • 3 tbsp coloured bell pepper, finely chopped

  • 2 tsp coriander, finely chopped

  • 8 brown bread slice

  • 1 tsp salt or to taste

  • 1 tbsp Ghee for roasting


  • Add sooji and curd into bowl and mix well.
  • Once these have incorporated well, add all the veggies, salt and again mix to form the batter. Keep batter aside for 5 mins.
  • Now take bread slice and spread 1 or 2 tsp batter over the slice evenly.
  • Heat a pan and slight grease it with ghee.
  • Once heated, turn flame to low-medium and place the bread slice over it. Make sure you roast the paste side first.
  • Keep checking in between and flip once it turns golden brown. Now toast it from other side too.
  • Do this for the rest of the batter. Enjoy this with ketchup and hot cup of tea.
