Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 cup besan/senaga pindi


  • 1 tbsp salt


  • 1 tbsp red chilly powder


  • 1 tbsp jeera


  • 1 tbsp vaamu/ajwain


  • 2 pinch baking soda


  • 2 pinch turmeric powder


  • 1 cup water


  • 1 cup oil


  • 2 onions finely chopped


  • 3 raw bananas

Directions

  • Cut raw bananas in long shape and soak in water to avoid bananas turning in black colour
  • In a bowl add senagapindi, salt, red chilly powder, jeera, vaamu, soda, turmeric powder
  • Mix all dry ingredients together and slowly add water and adjust consistency
  • Batter should be slightly thick but not running and allow batter to rest for 10min
  • Heat oil in pan now take each banana and dip in batter and slowly drop in oil
  • Fry until golden brown and transfer to a tissue plate to absorb oil
  • Serve with onions finely chopped and lemon
