Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1 cup wheat flour/maida


  • 1/4 cup rice flour


  • 1 medium onion chopped


  • 2 tbsp chopped Curry leaves


  • 1/2 tsp baking soda


  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt


  • 1/2 tsp salt


  • 3 to 4 tbsp water if needed


  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1-2 grern chilli chopped


  • 1/4 cup grated coconut


  • 1/4 tsp ginger grated


  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves

Directions

  • Add flour, rice flour, salt, soda,jeeta to a mixing bowl.
  • Add chopped onion, gredn chilli, coriander leaves, curry leaves, ginger and coconut.
  • Pour curd and 2 tbsp water mix well to make a thick batter of dropping consistency.
  • Heat paniyaram pan add a few drops of oil.
  • Pour spoonful of the batter 3/4 of the paniyram mould.
  • Allow the batter to cook for 2-3 minutes on a low or medium flame.
  • Turn paniyarm with the help of wooden skewer or spoon.
  • Now allow the other side to get cooked and crisp.
  • Turn once or twice for uniform cooking.
  • Serve with chutney or sambar, curd.
