Wheat flour 2 cups
Salt 1 tsp
Water 3/4 cups
Oil for frying 1 cups
large boiled sweet potato 2 nos
powdered sugar 4 tbsp
In a dish, take wheat flour.
mash a potato in it. mix in sugar it well
Add a little water at a time and knead thick dough of it. Don’t add much water at a time.
Grease the dough with little oil and transfer the dough into a bowl.
Cover and give it a standing time of 30-45 minutes.
After about an hour take the dough out and knead once more.
Take some dough and roll medium thick chapatti. Chapati should neither be too thick or too thin
You can make small balls and roll the puris too.
Until you roll the puris, heat up oil in a pan for frying.
After rolling out the chapatti, make puris with the help of a lid.
When puris are ready transfer them into a dish.
When oil is enough hot, lower the heat to low.
Drop one puri into hot oil. After dropping, press it a little with ladle.
When fried well from one side, flip over and fry from another side as well.
Remove the puri from hot oil, drain excess oil and put it on a tissue paper.
