Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 cups wheat flour


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 3/4 cups water


  • 1 cups oil for frying


  • 2 nos large boiled sweet potato


  • 4 tbsp powdered sugar

Directions

  • In a dish, take wheat flour.
  • mash a potato in it. mix in sugar it well
  • Add a little water at a time and knead thick dough of it. Don’t add much water at a time.
  • Grease the dough with little oil and transfer the dough into a bowl.
  • Cover and give it a standing time of 30-45 minutes.
  • After about an hour take the dough out and knead once more.
  • Take some dough and roll medium thick chapatti. Chapati should neither be too thick or too thin
  • You can make small balls and roll the puris too.
  • Until you roll the puris, heat up oil in a pan for frying.
  • After rolling out the chapatti, make puris with the help of a lid.
  • When puris are ready transfer them into a dish.
  • When oil is enough hot, lower the heat to low.
  • Drop one puri into hot oil. After dropping, press it a little with ladle.
  • When fried well from one side, flip over and fry from another side as well.
  • Remove the puri from hot oil, drain excess oil and put it on a tissue paper.
  • Serve
