Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • 1 cup finely chopped fenugreek leaves


  • 1/2 cup maize flour (makai ka atta)


  • 1/4 cup semolina (rava / sooji)


  • 1 cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)


  • 1/4 cup jowar (white millet) flour


  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon green chilli paste


  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger (adrak) paste


  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic (lehsun) paste


  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida (hing)


  • 1 tablespoon oil


  • 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste


  • 1 tablespoon oil

Directions

  • Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl and knead into a semi- soft dough using very little water. (As the fenugreek leaves also ooze out water)
  • Divide the dough into 10 equal portions.
  • Pat a portion of the dough on your palms and then make a parantha with the help of a rolling pin
  • Heat a griddle, grease with the oil and cook the parantha on a medium low flame till it turns golden brown in colour from both the sides.
  • Drain on an absorbent paper.
  • Serve immediately with any pickle or vegetable of your choice.
