  • 10-12 finely chopped curry leaves

  • 2 tablespoon finely chopped coriander

  • 1 tsp jeera

  • 1 tsp salt or as needed

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 50 ml.oil to roast

  • In a mixing bowl, add the coconut, green chillies, curry leaves, corriander, jeera, salt and sugar. Mix these well with your fingers till they blend well .

  • Take a thick tawa and apply it with oil.
  • Pinch out equal sized balls and keep aside .
  • Take one ball and pat into a thin roti on the tava. Wet your palm so that you can spread the roti easily on the tawa
  • Drizzle oil inside the holes and all around the roti . The pricking of holes ensures even cooking of the roti.
  • Keep the tawa on medium and cook covered for 2 mins till the underside gets cooked.
  • Carefully open the lid and flip over using a spatula and drizzle some more oil and cook until it becomes crispy
  • Serve hot with powdered jaggery and fresh ghee. You can also serve with chutney if you like. Finely chopped onions also can be added to the dough while kneading.
