Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 litre milk


  • 1small cup vermicelli


  • 3tbsp sugar


  • 6..7 cashews


  • 6..7 almonds


  • 1bowl moong daal(pulses)


  • 1tsp salt


  • 1/4tsp turmeric powder


  • 1tsp red pepper powder


  • 1/2tsp garam masala powder


  • 1 onion


  • 1 tomato


  • 2 green chillies


  • 1inch ginger


  • 1 tbsp lemon juice


  • 1tsp ghee


  • 1tsp cumin seeds

Directions

  • Wash and soak pulses for 10 minutes
  • Heat ghee in a pan
  • Add cumin seeds , turmeric powder and pepper powder
  • Add 1 glass water
  • Add soaked pulses and salt
  • Cover with a lid and cook on slow flame till its soft
  • Then transfer in a bowl and add finely chopped onion,tomatoes ,green chillies and ginger
  • Add lime juice and serve
  • When pulses are cooking prepare kheer
  • Dry roast vermicelli till pinkish
  • Add in boiling milk and cook on slow flame for 20 minutes
  • Keep stirring in between
  • Add sugar and chopped dryfruits
  • Srerve hot
