Soak brown lentil in some water for 20 minutes.
Drain soaked lentil
In a pan heat oil, add chopped onions and carrots and saute.
After 2 minutes add garlic and fry. Now add tomato puree and cook for 3-4 minutes. At this point add seasonings. Pepper, salt, crushed rosemary, oregano and pepper flakes.
Add lentil to the vegetables with 3/4 cup water and cook covered.
Once the dal has started to soften add the pasta to it. Cook covered until macaroni is 70-80% soft. As we will cook it further with milk.
Remove the lid, Mix well and add milk. And let this boil uncovered till the mixture comes together. Keep Stirring but do not break the pasta.
Serve hot with some sprinkles of grated cheese and some pepper flakes
