Spicy Aloo Puri And Sweet Tomatoes Chutney

Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • Boiled potatoes- 2 medium


  • Atta- 3/4cup rava- 2tbsp


  • Oil- 1tbsp for deep frying 1tbsp


  • Salt- to taste 1tsp


  • Amchur - 1tsp


  • Haldi- 1/2tsp 1/2tsp


  • Red chili powder- 1/2tsp 1/2tsp


  • Garam masala- 1/2tsp


  • Ajwain- 1tsp


  • For tomota chutney- tomatoes- 2medium


  • Panch phoran- 1/2tsp


  • Red chili- 1


  • Onion- 1small


  • Curry leaves- 1spring


  • Jaggery powder- 2tbsp or as per taste

Directions

  • In a big bowl add grated potatoes, then add atta, rava, salt, haldi, red chili powder, garam masala, amchur, ajwain and oil
  • Mix everything and knead a smooth but stiff dough.. add water little by little..
  • Keep it aside for 5mins
  • In the meantime heat oil for deep frying
  • In another Kadai heat oil add red chili, panch phoran and let it crackle
  • Now add curry leaves and chopped tomatoes.
  • Also add salt, red chili, haldi ànd cook covering all the way
  • When tomatoes are mushy add little water to adjust the consistency and jaggery
  • Now make equal balls from dough.
  • Roll the balls into Puris apply generous amount of oil for rolling
  • Add it to the hot oil and cook one side
  • When done flip and cook on the other side..
  • Serve hot aloo Puri with chutney
