Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • Aval/poha- 1 cup


  • Sugar/vellam/jaggery-1cup


  • Ghee-2 teaspoons


  • Cashewnuts,almond and raisins-1 to 2 teaspoons


  • A pinch of cardamom-1/2 teaspoon


  • Milk-2 cups

Directions

  • Wash and soak poha in water for ten minutes
  • Boil milk and simmer it for few minutes.
  • Add the soaked aval/poha in the milk and adjust the flame to medium and cook it till it becomes soft
  • Add sugar and stir well
  • Roast the nuts and raisins in ghee and add it to the cooking mixture with cardamom powder
  • Give a mild stir. Yummy aval /poha kheer is ready to eat
