  • 2 cups Oats, 1/2 cup Curd, 1tsp mustard seeds, 1tbsp urad dal, 1/2 tbsp Chana dal,2tsp green chillies(chopped),.1 cup grated carrot, 2tbsp coriander finely chopped, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 pinch salt, pinch of eno fruit salt,.


  • On a tawa dry roast the oats until it turns slightly brown & then powder the roast in a grinder.
  • In a pan add 1tsp oil,mustard seeds ,urad dal,Chana dal, & allow the mustard seeds to splitter & the dals to turn golden,to this add the chopped chillies,coriander leaves,grated carrots.Add turmeric powder & add this seasoning to the powder oats mixture & add the curd to it to make a batter.
  • Grease the idli plates with oil & pour the batter into each area of the steamer.Steam the idlis for 15 mints.
  • Serve with coriander chutney.
  • Coriander Chutney-
  • In a blender or chutney grinder add 1 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves, 1/2 inch chopped ginger, 1 chopped green chilli.
  • Add 1 or 2 lemon juice ,1/2 tsp cumin powder,salt as required with some water .Blend or grind all the ingredients till smooth.
  • Serve the coriander chutney with the Oats Idli in breakfast.
