Ingredients

Serves : 10
  • 2 cups foxtail millets


  • 2 cups idly rice


  • 1 cup urid dal

Directions

  • Soak foxtail millet,idly rice for 4 hours
  • Soak urid dal for 4 hours
  • Grind both separately to fine batter and mix on a large bowl and add salt to it
  • Ferment this batter for atleast 7 hours
  • Using steamer with idly mould , pour the batter in the idly mould and steam it for 10 minutes.
  • For dosa, pour the batter in a flat tawa( dosa tawa) and flatten it by a ladle.
  • Pour oil/ghee on both sides of dosa n make it crispy
  • Enjoy the healthy idly and dosa with spicy tomato chutney and sambar
