Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1 tbsp salt


  • 1 chopped onion


  • 1 chopped tomato


  • 1/2 tbsp turmaric


  • 1 tbsp garam masala powder


  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder


  • 1 tbsp dhaniya powder


  • 1 tbsp coriander


  • 1 tbsp Chole masala


  • 1bowl oil


  • 2 cups refined flour


  • 1 tbsp baking soda


  • 1bowl chickpeas/ chole soaked overnight


  • 1 tbsp zeera, Rai and curry leaves

Directions

  • Take chickpeas in a pressure cooker add 6 glass water, salt cover and pressure cook for 15 mins or fluffy done.
  • Heat oil in a pan add Rai, zeera and curry leaves and saute for 30 seconds
  • Add chopped Onion saute for 2 mins,add chopped tomato, red chilli powder, dhaniya powder, garam masala powder and cook till oil separate.
  • Add boiled chickpeas and 2cups water and cook for 10 mins on medium flame
  • In a bowl add refined flour,salt, baking powder and mix well.
  • Add some water and knead into a soft dough.
  • Add 1 tbsp oil and knead well and set aside for 10mins.
  • Heat sufficient oil in kadai, devide the dough into equal portions and shape into balls.
  • Grease worktop with some oil and roll each ball into thick discs.
  • Deep fry each disc into hot oil till golden and puffed up .
  • Garnish chole with coriander and serve with bhatore
