  • 2cups boiled mashed potatoes

  • 1tblsp oil

  • 3tbspn ginger garlic green chillies paste

  • 1tsp mustard seeds

  • 1tsp turmeric powder

  • 2tsp salt

  • 1tsp lemon juice

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped Coriander leaves

  • 10-12 curry leaves

  • 4cup oil for frying

  • 2cup besan

  • 1/2tsp salt

  • 1/4tsp red chilli powder

  • 1tsp carom seed

  • 1/4tsp turmeric powder

  • 1/8tsp soda


  • Heat 1tblsp oil. Add mustard seeds. Add green chilli, ginger garlic paste, curry leaves , turmeric powder and cook for 2mins
  • Pour this tadka over mashed potatoes. Add lemon juice, salt. Add Coriander leaves and mix well
  • Prepare besan batter. Take besan, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder , soda, carom seeds and mix well. Add water and make a thick batter.
  • Heat oil for frying.
  • Give shape to patato mixture.
  • Dip them in besan batter and drop them slowly into hot oil.
  • Flip and fry them till golden brown.
  • Serve hot with ketchup or chutney.
