Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup Chhole / kabuli chane


  • 1 tsp baking soda


  • 4 tbsp oil


  • 2 tomatoes


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1 pinch asafotida


  • 1 tsp garam masala


  • 2 tbsp chhole masala


  • 1.5 tsp salt


  • 2 cup wheat flour


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 500 ml oil for frying

Directions

  • Firstly soak chhole over night in 4 cup of water
  • Next day transfer in cooker, add baking soda and cook for 4-5 whistle on medium flame.
  • Meanwhile we will prepare masala.
  • Grind tomatoes and green chillis.
  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • Add cumin seeds, asafotida, and garam masala.
  • Now add tomato paste and roast well. Add chhole masala
  • Whistle has been released.
  • So add chhole in masala with adding salt.
  • Cook them for 10 minutes on low flame
  • Make a soft dough with wheat flour.
  • Heat oil in kadhayi.
  • Take a small ball and rollout this.
  • Drop it in heat oil. It will turn in to baloon
  • Fry till golden brown.
  • Now turn of the chhole gas and transfer in a bowl.
  • Serve with hot puri, raayta and masala aalu.
  • You can add papad with it.
