Ingredients

Serves : 6
  • For appe 6


  • Rava 2 cups


  • Curd 2 cups


  • Onion 1 chopped


  • Carrot 1 grated


  • Eno 1 tsp


  • Salt as per taste 1


  • Oil 4tbsp


  • For the chutney 2


  • Peanuts 1 cup


  • Chana dal 1/2 cup


  • Onion 1/2


  • Garlic 3 pods


  • Dry red chilly 2


  • Curry leaves 2 sticks


  • Mustard seeds 2tsp

Directions

  • Take a pot add rava, curd, salt and little water.
  • Mix it and keep aside for 20 minutes
  • In the meantime make the chutney.
  • Take pan heat 1tbsp oil.
  • Fry chana dal and peanuts.
  • Don't fry them together.
  • In a blender add chana dal, peanuts, onion, garlic and little water.
  • Grind it to smooth paste.
  • Add curd and salt and again grind.
  • Add water if required.
  • In that same pan heat 1tsp oil. Put mustard seeds. Once it starts spluttering add curry leaves.
  • Add the tadka to the chutney.
  • Mix it.
  • Now take the appe batter. Add water if required and eno. Mix it well.
  • Heat appe pan add little oil in it.
  • Pour 1 tbsp batter in each and cover and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Turn it and again cook for 2 minutes.
  • Serve hot with the chutney.
