Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • For Filling: 4-5 Boiled Potatoes


  • 1 Green Chilli (Optional for kids)


  • 3 Tbsp finely Chopped Cilantro


  • 1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder


  • 1 Tsp Dry Mango ( Amchur) Powder


  • 1 Cup Mint-Coriander Green Chutney (Optional)


  • 1 Tsp Salt


  • Besan Batter: 2 Cups Besan


  • 1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder


  • 1 Tsp Garam Masala


  • 1/4 Tsp Ajwain


  • Water to mix batter


  • Salt to taste


  • Oil for frying


  • 6 Breads Slices


  • A pinch of Hing


  • Amchur Chutney: 1/2 Cup Amchur


  • 1 cup sugar


  • salt 1/2 tsp


  • Red chilly powder 1/2 tsp


  • Chaat masala 1/2 tsp


  • Mint chutney: 1 Bunch mint


  • 1/2 bunch Coriander leaves


  • 1 small onion


  • Garlic 2 cloves


  • salt 1/2 tsp


  • Green chilly 1


  • chaat masala 1/2 tsp


  • Water 1 cup for amchur chutney

Directions

  • For Filling: Boil the potatoes , peel and mashed. Add and mix coriander leaves, green chili, red chili powder, amchur powder and salt to mashed potatoes.
  • For Besan Batter: In Besan add ajwain, red chili powder, garam masala powder, asafoetida and salt. Add water for the desired consistency. Check for the seasoning.
  • Add few drops of oil in the batter and keep it aside.
  • For Assembling Bread Pakora: Cut the bread into triangular slices Apply green chutney on one side and tomato ketchup on another slice of triangular bread . Layer mashed potato mixture evenly on the bread Cover this slice with another slice.
  • Dip into besan batter to coat the breads. Deep fry pakora in hot oil on medium flame till crisp and golden brown. Enjoy with Tea or Coffee.
  • Amchur Chutney: Take amchur and water in a pan . Mix it thoroughly so that no lumps remains. Pour this into a pan and all the spices.
  • Switch on the flame and keep stirring until it start boiling. Give it 2-3 rolling boils and switch off the flame. Let it cool. Amchur chutney is ready.
  • Mint Chutney: Take all the ingredients into a mixer jar and blend to a smooth paste.Mint chutney is ready. If required add little water and adjust seasoning.
