Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • Wheat flour 1 cup


  • Suji 1/4 cup


  • Besan 1/4 cup


  • Salt 1 tsp


  • Baking soda 1/2 tsp


  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp


  • Ghee 4 tbsp


  • Ajwain 1 tsp


  • Hing a 1pinch

Directions

  • Mix the flour besan and suji
  • Add all ingredients except ghee
  • Add 2 tbsp of ghee and mash the dough to a crumbly texture.
  • Add some water and knead a tight dough
  • Pinch a ball sized portion from the dough and stuff some ghee in the middle and roll over into a ball
  • Preheat the oven at 180 degrees . Place the baati on low rack and bake for 15 minutes
  • Place the baatis on high rack and grill for 5 minutes
