  • 1 cup 3 tbsp maida

  • 1 cup powder sugar

  • 1/2 cup curd

  • 1/4 cup oil

  • 1/4 cup water

  • 1/4 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp Rabdi essence

  • 500 gm rasmalai

  • 200 gram whipping cream.

  • 2 drops of yellow gel colour.

  • 20-30 grams Pista for garnishing.


  • Pre heat oven @ 180° for 10 min or kadhai or 10min on low- medium flame. And grease 7 inch baking tin and line with butter paper and keep aside
  • Warm water in a bowl and keep aside.
  • Combine curd, oil, warm water and essence mix well and keep aside.
  • Sieve the flour, baking powder, baking soda and sugar in a deep bowl and keep aside.
  • Now add dry mixture into wet mixture in 3 batches. Mix well and pour it into the tin
  • Bake it for 20-30 min. Check the cake after 25 min. Insert toothpick into the cake if it comes out clean means its ready, if not then bake it for 5 min.
  • Once bake let it cool down completely before working on it
  • Cover the cake with clean wrap and Keep for at least 2 hours before frosting.
  • Now cut the cake into 3.
  • Place one sponge on the cake board or plate. Apply lil whipped cream under the spong so that it won't move.
  • on the last spong , soak it with ras of rasmalai,Apply thin layer of whipped cream and place few pieces of rasmalai. Do same with the second spong.
  • On the top spong soak it with ras and now cover the cake or frost the cake with whipped cream.
  • Now keep the cake in fridgr for around 5 min and them again apply the cream and decorate the cake by favourite design.
  • Apply sliced pista on all over the cake
  • Chill the cake before serving .
