400 gm jackfruit (kathal) cut into thick medium size
1 medium size onion sliced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon grated garlic
1 -2 teaspoon chili powder (lal mirch powder)
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon coriander powder (dhania powder)
1 /2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)
1 teaspoon jeera
salt to taste approximately 1/2 teaspoon
3 tablespoon refined oil
Wash jack fruit and keep it aside
Put oil in microwave safe Borosil bowl, keep for 1 min in microwave, when it beeps add jeera (cumin seeds) to it, again set temp 1 min at high.
Add grated ginger and garlic and keep again for 1 minute at high
Add onion, mix all well and again keep for 3 minutes at high.
Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilly powder to it.
Add jackfruit slices and mix it. Add garam masala powder and salt to it. Along with 4 tablespoon of water and cover it with the lid let it cook on 100% powerlevel for 15 minutes.
When it beeps take it out, stir nicely, now again keep in microwave and give 5 minutes at 60% powerlevel uncovered this time, so that water gets dried up.
