  • 100 gms for stuffing- chana dal (soaked overnight)

  • 1 pinch asfoetida

  • 4-5 piece garlic

  • 2 nos green chilli

  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds

  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1 tsp salt - as per taste

  • 200 gms for covering -rice flour

  • 1/2 tsp oil

  • 1/2 cups water


  • Grind the Chana Dal with all the ingredients for a semi-solid paste
  • Take The Rice Flour In A Bowl And Add Water And Mix To Make A Smooth Paste.
  • Put A Shallow Pot On Medium Flame And Pour Oil To It, Transfer The Paste To The Pot And Keep Stirring To Bind It And Dry.
  • When The Paste Gets Solid And Dry, Remove The Pot From Flame And Bind It To Make A Dough (Without Using Water).
  • Make Small Balls Of The Dough And Spread It In A Round Shape, Put The Gram Mixture Stuffing On The Half Side Of The Spread And Cover It By The Remaining Half Of The Spread, Giving It A Semi-Circle Shape
  • These Pieces Are Generally Deep-Fried In Oil For A Crunchy Taste But We, Make It By Baking ( This Also Tastes Good As It Becomes Soft But Not Crunchy) To Keep Off Heavy Oil From It.
  • Preheat The Oven At 120°C For 10-15 Minutes. * Put The Pieces On The Greased Tray.
  • Keep It In The Oven For 30 Minutes
