  • 500 gm bhindi/okra

  • 1 tbsp cooking oil

  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric haldi powder

  • 1 tsp masala chat

  • 1/2 tsp amchur powder

  • 1/2 tsp coriander dhania powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon jeera powder


  • Wash the okra and pat it dry with a kitchen towl.
  • Trim the top crown of okra and cut it lengthwise from the center
  • Take an ovenproof glass dish, place the cut okra into this dish.
  • Add oil, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, chat masala powder, jeera powder, amchur powder, coriander powder or alternatively you can also do with another method - mix all dry spices in a bowl and then stuff in bhindi, mix everything together.
  • Microwave it for 8 minutes on high power and then stir it once with a spatula. Put the dish back in microwave and microwave for 8 more minutes.
  • Check at this point if it is crisp then stop cooking it anymore, otherwise microwave it for 2 more minute and your crispy microwave okra/bhindi is ready.
