Ingredients

Serves : 10
  • 1 1/2 cup wheat flour


  • 3 eggs


  • 3/4 cup oil


  • 3/4 cup sugar


  • 3 medium carrots grated


  • 1 tsp baking powder


  • 1/2 tsp baking soda


  • 1/8 tsp salt


  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder


  • 1 orange zest


  • 3/4 cup icing sugar


  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon


  • 1-2 tbsp orange juice

Directions

  • Sieve together flour,baking powder,baking soda,salt and cinnamon powder and keep aside.
  • In a mixing bowl add sugar and oil and mix well. To this add eggs one by one.
  • To the mix add orange zest and grated carrots
  • Fold in the flour slowly till lump free batter is formed
  • Pour in a greased and lined cake tin and bake in preheated oven at 180 degree Celsius for 35-40 minutes.
  • Add orange juice and cinnamon powder to the icing sugar to make a drizzle.
  • Demould the cake when cool, cut into pieces and serve with drizzle
