Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • Yeast 2 tsp


  • Sugar 2 tsp


  • Water 1 cup


  • Olive oil 1/2 cup


  • Garlic pods 5 to 6


  • Chillie flakes 1 tbsp


  • Italian herbs 2 tsp


  • Salt 1 tsp


  • Pepper 1 tsp


  • Whole wheat flour 2 ½ cup


  • Tomato slices of 1


  • Capsicum 1 sliced


  • Pizza sauce 4 tbsp

Directions

  • First prepare the yeast
  • In a mug add the yeast, sugar and warm water and whisk
  • Set aside for the yeast to rise
  • Make the infusion oil
  • Heat the olive oil and add the garlic, chilli flakes, Italian herbs, salt and pepper
  • Saute on slow flame. We need the oil to get infused with our spices
  • Take the bloomed yeast in a bowl
  • Add 2 cups flour
  • Add 3/4 of the infused oil
  • Knead the dough with hands
  • Knead for 12 to 15 mins
  • Use the left over flour to knead a nice dough
  • Oil the dough and let it rise
  • It may take 45 mins
  • In a baking pan apply the baking paper and put the remaining infused oil
  • Now place our rise dough over the infused oil
  • Poke with ur fingers
  • Place sliced tomatoes and capsicum
  • Drizzle some olive oil on top let it rise for 15 mons
  • Preheat the oven at 180 Celsius
  • Bake the foccacia for 30 to 40 mins
  • Serve with pizza sauce
