Ingredients

Serves : 12
  • For cake–


  • 5 tbsp condensed milk / milkmaid


  • ¾ cup butter at room temperature


  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar


  • 1 1/4 cup maida


  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder


  • 1/2 tsp baking soda


  • 1 tsp baking powder


  • ¼ tsp salt


  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  • 1/2 cup warm milk or as required


  • 1 tsp instant coffee powder


  • For sugar syrup–


  • 1/2 cup water, 3 tbsp sugar


  • Cocoa fudge frosting–


  • soft unsalted butter–5 tbsp


  • Cocoa powder–2/3 cup


  • powered sugar–3/4 cup


  • Instant coffee–1/2 tsp


  • Amul cream–3/4 cup


  • Vanilla essence–1 tsp


  • Pinch of salt


  • For Decoration_ Kit kat Chocolate Packets–10_12 nos


  • Gems Packet–4 nos


  • Cadbury Shots packets–2 nos


  • Cadbury Nutties Chocolate4––4nos


  • Any round shape Chocolate–1 nos

Directions

  • Sieve the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda together in a bowl twice. In another bowl, cream butter n suger together Add condensed milk to this butter mixture n cream it well. Add vanilla essence n coffee powder to milk n mix it well. Into the butter mixture, mix wet n dry ingredients in batches. Butter the baking tin n place parchment/butter paper. Place the batter in the tin n bake it at 180 degree for 30 minutes. In order to make the cake soft n moist, make the sugar syrup. Heat the sugar till it dissolves in water n allow it to cool completely. Allow the cake to cool in the tin for 10 minutes. Unmold the cake from the tin. Method of making chocolate frosting– Melt the butter in a heavy bottom pan. Add cocoa powder and sugar n stir it continuously, add coffee powder, then slowly slowly add the cream. Stir the mixture continuously till the mixture become smooth n hot. Do not boil. Remove from heat n add vanilla essence n mix well. Cut the cake so as to level it. Cote the second layer of the cake with sugar syrup. Cover the second layer with chocolate icing. Repeat the same process for the first layer of the cake. Before you perform final finish, set the cake for 10 minutes in refrigerator. In order to get back to the icing or frosting, heat it for 10 seconds in the microwave n pour it over the cake till the whole cake cover with icing.
  • Stick the Kit Kat’s to the side of the cake (break them in twos) making sure no frosting will be showing and no space is between the Kit Kats. Cover the top with Gems, Cadbury shots and Cadbury nutties as shown in the picture or as per your choice Wrap a ribbon around the cake as a decoration and to secure the Kit Kats in place. Note_Make sure the combined height of the cake layers are lower than the Kit Kats Remove the ribbon before cutting the cake and enjoy it!
