Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • Rice: 2 Cups


  • Hot Water: 3 Cups


  • Desi Ghee: 1 Tablespoon


  • Jeera/Cumin Seeds: 1 Teaspoon


  • Salt: 1 Teaspoon

Directions

  • Wash the Rice thoroughly until the water runs clear.
  • Combine all the above ingredients in a large Microwave Safe glass/ceramic bowl.
  • Cover with Microwave Safe Lid or vented Plastic Wrap.
  • Place the bowl in the Microwave Oven.
  • Select the “Rice” setting. Press “On”.
  • *It takes about 20 minutes to cook perfect Rice. The results are exactly the same as Jeera Pulao that’s cooked in a Pan in the conventional way.
  • Let it rest for 2 minutes before taking it out.
  • Fluff gently with the help of two forks.
  • Serve hot with Chole/Rajma/Daal.
  • *Note: Cooking Time depends upon the Cooking Power/Wattage of the Microwave Oven - Mine is 1200 Watts.
