Ingredients

Serves : 3
  • 1 tablespoon oil


  • 3/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder


  • green chillies to taste (approximately 1-2)


  • 1 large onion sliced


  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder


  • 1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste


  • 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder


  • 500 gms gilki (Turai) peeled and cut into circular disk


  • coriander leaves chopped (3-4 sprigs)

Directions

  • Put the oil in microwave safe dish and heat on microwave high power level for 2 minutes.
  • Drop in the cumin and green chillies. Continue to cook at the same power level for 2 minutes. Add the onion. Microwave 2 minutes.
  • Add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, Microwave at the same power level for 3 minutes.
  • Stir in the vegetable. Cover and cook at microwave high for 8 minutes.
  • Add salt and garam masala powder, mix well, stand 3-4 minutes before serving.
  • The vegetable will have a slight bite to it.
  • Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
