1 tablespoon oil
3/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
green chillies to taste (approximately 1-2)
1 large onion sliced
1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
500 gms gilki (Turai) peeled and cut into circular disk
coriander leaves chopped (3-4 sprigs)
Put the oil in microwave safe dish and heat on microwave high power level for 2 minutes.
Drop in the cumin and green chillies. Continue to cook at the same power level for 2 minutes. Add the onion. Microwave 2 minutes.
Add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder, Microwave at the same power level for 3 minutes.
Stir in the vegetable. Cover and cook at microwave high for 8 minutes.
Add salt and garam masala powder, mix well, stand 3-4 minutes before serving.
The vegetable will have a slight bite to it.
Serve hot garnished with chopped coriander leaves.
