Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • Besan 1-1/2 cup


  • Salt 1/2 teaspoon


  • Sugar 1 teaspoon


  • Soda 1/2 teaspoon


  • Eno Fruit salt 1/2 teaspoon


  • Turmeric 1/4 teaspoon


  • Citric acid 1 teaspoon


  • Water 1-1/2 cup


  • For tarka:- Refined oil 1 teaspoon


  • Curry patta 7-8


  • Salt 1/4 teaspoon


  • Green chillies 3 sliced


  • Rai/Mustard 1/2 teaspoon


  • Water 1/2 cup


  • Sugar 1 tablespoon


  • Pomegranate juice 1 cup

Directions

  • Combine besan,salt,sugar,turmeric powder,citric acid in a glass bowl
  • Add water to it, mix well and keep aside for 15 minutes
  • Break the lumps
  • After 15 minutes add baking soda and Eno fruit salt
  • Mix in clockwise direction
  • Immediately put into the greeced microwave dhokla steamer
  • Cover the lid and keep in microwave for 6 minutes at 100 percent high
  • On the other side take a glass bowl add refined oil,curry patta,salt,green chillies,mustard seeds,sugar and 1/2 cup of water, mix well, keep in microwave for 4 minutes
  • When the tarka is cooled properly add pomegranate juice to it
  • Put this tarka on ready spongy dhokla, keep aside for few minutes, till the juice is absorbed
  • Cut and serve decorated with pomegranate & chopped coriander leaves
