  • 1 cup semolina

  • 1/2 cup curd

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt ir to test

  • 1 teaspoon eno fruit salt

  • 1 tablespoon oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger pest


  • put curd in a bowl and mix semolina (sooji) in it. Add 1/2 cup water in the batter and maintain a thick consistency. While stirring, add salt, ginger paste, After 10 minutes, add baking soda and mix it well. Your idli batter is prepered.
  • Apply oil on the microwave idli container and start pouring idli batter into the same. Set the microwave for 3 minutes on medium power. To make sure that the idli is cooked, insert a toothpick in the idlis. If the batter comes out clean, then the idli has been properly cooked.
  • When the idlis are prepared, with a help of a knife, carefully remove them from the microwave idli container and transfer in a serving bowl. Serve hit idlis with sambhar nd coconut chutny.
