Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Carrots 2 lbs

  • Powdered Sugar 1.5 cups

  • Milk 2 .5 cups

  • Nuts ( Pistachios, Almonds, Raisins) 1/2 cup

  • Mava 1/2 Cup

  • Cardamom Powder 1/2 tsp

Directions

    Wash, Peel and Grate the carrots .

    In a borosil bowl add gated carrots and milk and mix it. microwave it on full for first 10 minutes.

    Add Sugar to it and microwave it for 10 minutes.

    Stir it well and add mava, few nuts to it and stir it again. Microwave it again for 10 minutes.

    At this step have a look that the milk is completely soaked up or not. If not then microwave for few more minutes depending upon the situation.

    My process took another 5 minutes to soak milk completely.

    The yummy dessert - gajar ka halwa is ready to tingle your taste buds.

    Garnish it with some dry fruits on top and serve it hot.

    Tip: Don't add raisins while microwaving otherwise it will get savory. Add it while garnishing.
