Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • Carrots 2 lbs


  • Powdered Sugar 1.5 cups


  • Milk 2 .5 cups


  • Nuts ( Pistachios, Almonds, Raisins) 1/2 cup


  • Mava 1/2 Cup


  • Cardamom Powder 1/2 tsp

Directions

  • Wash, Peel and Grate the carrots .
  • In a borosil bowl add gated carrots and milk and mix it. microwave it on full for first 10 minutes.
  • Add Sugar to it and microwave it for 10 minutes.
  • Stir it well and add mava, few nuts to it and stir it again. Microwave it again for 10 minutes.
  • At this step have a look that the milk is completely soaked up or not. If not then microwave for few more minutes depending upon the situation.
  • My process took another 5 minutes to soak milk completely.
  • The yummy dessert - gajar ka halwa is ready to tingle your taste buds.
  • Garnish it with some dry fruits on top and serve it hot.
  • Tip: Don't add raisins while microwaving otherwise it will get savory. Add it while garnishing.
