Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup gram flour


  • 2 tablespoon semolina


  • 1/2 cup water


  • 1 teaspoon eno


  • 1 teaspoon salt


  • 1 tablespoon lime juice


  • 2 teaspoon oil


  • 1 teaspoon sugar


  • 1/2 teaspoon turmuric powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger pest


  • Tadka ingridents... 1 tablespoon oil


  • 6-7 curry leves


  • 2 green chillis


  • 2 tablespoon water


  • 1 teaspoon musturd seeds


  • 1-1/2 teaspoon sugar


  • 2 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions

  • firstly, in a large mixing bowl take 1 cup besan, 2 tbsp semolina and ¼ tsp turmeric. also add ½ tsp ginger paste, 1 tsp sugar, 2 tsp oil and ¼ tsp salt.add ½ cup water and make a smooth lump free batter.allow to rest for 10 minutes later add a tsp of eno fruit salt to batter.
  • mix gently till the batter turns frothy and light. transfer the dhokla batter immediately to greased tray.place in microwave and turn on for 5 minutes on high power.
  • cut the dhokla into square pieces or shape of your choice. pour the tempering immediately over the dhokla making sure it absorbs completely.
  • finally, serve soft and spongy dhokla with green chutney or as it is.
