Total Time : 35 Min

Ingredients

Serves : 15
  • 2 cups - Maida

  • 1 cup - Sugar (powdered).

  • A pinch - Baking soda, 1/4th tsp

  • A small cup - badam, coarsely powdered, 3/4th to 1 cup approximately

  • 1 teaspoon saffron (optional)

  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

  • 1 cup - Vegetable ghee or as required for the dough

  • Vegetable Ghee for greasing 1/4 the teaspoon

Directions

  • Mix maida, sugar, soda, dry fruit powder and the cardamom powder well.
  • Add the saffron if using, mix well.
  • Melt the vegetable ghee and let it become warm enough to put your hand.
  • Once it is warm, mix it into the flour mixture and make a dough. The dough should be loose enough to make small balls.
  • Flatten the ball slightly and make a depression.
  • Grease a baking tray and start placing these flattened balls with a little distance.
  • Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees, place the tray.
  • Keep watching as it turns light brownish pink.
  • It will approximately take around 5 -7 mins. Remove as soon as it becomes light pink.
  • Remove it and cool. Keep in aArtight Box or use Tupperware Box for storing purpose.
  • (Alternatively can also be made on 170degree for 15minutes, depends on you)
  • (Special note- cup used for maida is big in size as compared to vegetable oil, will use standard cup for oil, so it's less oil recipe, don't get confused, see the quantity)
