Ingredients

Serves 8

  • 2 tsp oil

  • 1 inch ginger

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 4 spring onions chopped

  • 1 cup cabbage, thinly shredded

  • 1 carrot, thinly shredded

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 2 tsp chilli sauce

  • 1 tsp soya sauce

  • 1 tsp pepper powder

  • 1/4th tsp salt or to taste

  • 1 tbsp all purpose flour/Maida

  • 8 spring roll pastry sheets

  • 3 tbsp oil

    In a hot pan, add oil along with ginger and garlic. Cook till raw smell goes away

  • 02

    Add in the chopped spring onions, and cook well

  • 03

    Add the carrot and cabbage, and saute well

  • 04

    Add sugar, chilli sauce, soya sauce, pepper powder and salt (remember Soy sauce has salt). Mix everything well

    Preheat oven to 320 degrees farenheit

    take a spring roll sheet and place a spoonful of prepared veggie mix.

    Pull and fold the bottom of the sheet over the filling and fold in both the sides like an envelope with no air pockets

    apply maida paste (1tbsp maida +2tbsp water) to seal the edges

  • 09

    place the rolls on a baking tray lined with baking sheet. Brush the rolls with oil

  • 10

    Bake these for 10-12 min and turn them over. Again bake them for another 8 min or until they turn golden brown

  • 11

    Serve hot with tomato sauce or any other Chinese dipping sauce of your choice
