Serves : 3
  • 75gm chicken- cut into 2-3 pieces

  • 4 cups water

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Other Ingredients :- 1tablespoon oil

  • 3/4teaspoon crushed garlic

  • 1/2teaspoon red chillie paste

  • 2tablespoon chopped cabbage

  • 2tablespoon grated carrot

  • 1 chicken soup cube - crushed

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1/4teaspoon pepper or to taste

  • 1/2tablespoon soya sauce

  • 1tablespoon tomato ketchup

  • 1tablespoon white vinegar

  • 4tablespoon cornflour - dissolved in 1/4 cup water

  • kashmiri red mirch powder 1/4teaspoon

  • chicken Masala powder 1/4teaspoon

  • Garam masala powder 1/4teaspoon

  • Salt to taste(approximately 1/2teaspoon)


  • For stock, microwave covered 4 cups water with chicken and salt in a deep micro proof bowl for 10minutes. Pick up chicken pieces. Strain the stock through a fine strainer to get a clear stock. Remove bones from the chicken and stock aside
  • In the same bowl put 1tablespoon oil. Add red chilli paste and garlic. Microwave covered for 1/2minute. Add stock and all other ingredients except cornflour paste. Microwave covered for 6minutes
  • Add cornflour paste & chicken. Microwave covered for 3minutes or till it boils. Stir once in between.
  • Chicken Hot & Sour Soup is ready, serve hot.
