Ingredients

Serves 4

  • medium sized prawns 200 gms

  • crushed black pepper 1/2 tsp

  • white wine 1 tsp

  • soy sauce 1 tsp

  • oil for frying 2 cups

  • cornflour 1 tbsp

  • breadcrumbs 1 cup

  • egg beaten 1

  • oyester sauce 1 tsp

  • chilli flakes 1/2 tsp

  • salt to taste 1 tsp

Directions

    deshell the prawns leaving the tails

  • 02

    mark a cut in the middle of each prawn

  • 03

    marinade the prawns with chilli flakes,salt,black pepper,soy sauce,oyester sauce,white wine and salt for at least half an hour

  • 04

    coat the marinated prawns with cornflour

  • 05

    beat the egg in a bowl with some black pepper

  • 06

    take one prawn piece and dip it in the egg and then coat in breadcrumbs

  • 07

    heat oil in a frying pan and fry these prawns till golden brown

  • 08

    remove on a kitchen napkin to soak excess oil

  • 09

    serve hot with sauce
