Wash the bokful & gently remove filament from each flower.
Keep them immersed in salt water for 10 mins. Drain & keep aside.
Take gram flour,rice flour,salt,baking soda,kalonji,turmeric powder, chilli powder,asafoetida in a mixing bowl.
Add a little water and make a smooth & slightly thick batter.
Heat oil in a frying pan.
Dip the bokful/agasti flowers in the batter, coat well & deep fry to a golden brown.
Remove the fried bokful/agasti flowers with a slotted spoon.drain on absorbent paper.
Serve hot with tomato sauce.
