Wash and soak Channa daal for 2 hours
Dry roast fennel seeds, coriander seeds, and dry red chilli
Grind the soaked daal, roasted masala, ginger paste and garlics
Try to add minimum amount of water
Now add salt, asafetida , whip until fluffy , add onions and coriander leaves
Heat oil in the kadai,make balls of the mixture flatten them fry till golden brown
Serve hot with chutney or sauce
