Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 1 cup Channa daal (Split Bengal Gram)


  • 1 pinch asafoetida


  • 1 tbsp grated ginger and green chilli


  • 1 tsp salt


  • 2 dry red chillies


  • 5 cloves garlic


  • 2 tsp fennel seeds


  • 2 tsp whole coriander seeds


  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves


  • 1 dice cut onion


  • 2 cup oil for frying

Directions

  • Wash and soak Channa daal for 2 hours
  • Dry roast fennel seeds, coriander seeds, and dry red chilli
  • Grind the soaked daal, roasted masala, ginger paste and garlics
  • Try to add minimum amount of water
  • Now add salt, asafetida , whip until fluffy , add onions and coriander leaves
  • Heat oil in the kadai,make balls of the mixture flatten them fry till golden brown
  • Serve hot with chutney or sauce
