Aamras is a popular dessert from western indian states of Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Basically aamras is plain mango puree or pulp . Aamras is a summer delight as mangoes are found only in summer seasons . we all love aam ( mango) in many other ways in food but aamras is something that we all indians make first in mango season . Alphonso mango are the best to make Aamras .
Traditionally aamras is served with puri but aamras can also be had as a dessert or anytime .

Ingredients
Serves : 4
2 Alphonso mango or kesar mango
1 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Sugar
Directions
Peel the mangoes and cut them into small cubes
Add chopped mangoes , sugar and milk into the blender and blend it till a smooth puree
Pour it into a serving bowl garnish it with few chopped mangoes if needed and serve chilled.
