Ingredients

Serves 4

  • Chicken - 1 kg cut into 10 pieces

  • Fresh curd - 1 cup hanged

  • Ginger paste - 1 tbsp

  • Garlic - 1 tbsp

  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp

  • Chilly powder - 1/2 tsp

  • Cumin powder - 2 tsp

  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp

  • Chat masala - 1 tsp

  • Oil - 1/4 cup

  • Salt - 1 tsp

  • For serving - onion rings - 1 cup

  • Mint dip - 1/2 cup

  • Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp

Directions

    Wash chicken pieces with water then keep it in strainer to drain excess water.

    Put chicken pieces in a large bowl. Now add curd, ginger- garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilly powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, chat masala powder, black pepper powder, salt and mix very well then rub all over chicken pieces. Keep this marinated chicken in fridge for one hour in fridge.

    Heat a heavy bottom pan on medium flame. Grease the pan with help of one tbsp oil. Put 5 pieces chicken in the pan and cover it with lid.

    First cook for 10 minutes on low flame. Flip all pieces then increase heat on medium flame. Now cook both sides till golden brown. Take out pieces from pan. Repeat same process for rest of pieces. Before placing pieces clean up the pan.

    Sprinkle little bit chat masala and lemon juice on chicken pieces.
