  • 1 banana flower

  • 4 tablespoon gram flour

  • 2 teaspoon rice flour

  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds

  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion seeds

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup white oil

  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

    take your banana flowers start opening the outer leaves one by one. keep peeling until you reach the white yellow flower heart.

    Cut the banana heart in small pices. take a bowl with water and mix lemon juice into it, soak flower pieces for half an hour to prevent them from turning dark and bitter.

    now pressure cook this banana flower with salt and turmeric till one whistle and then discard the water.

    Make a batter with gram flour rice flour salt oonion seeds poppy seeds cumin powder and water

  • 05

    Heat oil in a kodai. Coat the banana flowers pieces with batter then deep fry it in medium flame.
