  • 1 banana flower


  • 4 tablespoon gram flour


  • 2 teaspoon rice flour


  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds


  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder


  • 1/2 teaspoon onion seeds


  • 1 teaspoon salt


  • 1 cup white oil


  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Directions

  • take your banana flowers start opening the outer leaves one by one. keep peeling until you reach the white yellow flower heart.
  • Cut the banana heart in small pices. take a bowl with water and mix lemon juice into it, soak flower pieces for half an hour to prevent them from turning dark and bitter.
  • now pressure cook this banana flower with salt and turmeric till one whistle and then discard the water.
  • Make a batter with gram flour rice flour salt oonion seeds poppy seeds cumin powder and water
  • Heat oil in a kodai. Coat the banana flowers pieces with batter then deep fry it in medium flame.
  • Serve hot
