Peel the tomatoes and chop them and finely.
Heat oil in a pan. Now add cumin seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder and roast well.
Add finely chop tomatoes and mix well
Add salt, 2 tbsp water and give a nice stir.
Cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes.
Mix finely chop green coriander and turn off the gas
Serve hot.
