Ingredients

  • Chopped tomato 2


  • Moong dal 1 cup


  • Water as required


  • Chopped onion 1


  • Oil 2 tablespoon


  • Cumin seeds 1/2 teaspoon


  • Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon


  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon


  • Salt as per taste

Directions

  • At first take 1 cup moong dal in a cooker and fry for 2 minutes.
  • After that add required water and cover the cooker with lid.
  • Cook it for 4 whistles.
  • Let be cool and open the lid.
  • Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan.
  • Add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds and let be splutter.
  • Now add 1 chopped onion and 2 chopped tomato.
  • Saute them till they becomes soft.
  • After that add 1 tablespoon turmeric powder and 1 teaspoon red chilli powder.
  • Saute it for 30 seconds.
  • After that pour cooked moong dal.
  • Add salt as per taste.
  • Boil for 6 to 8 minutes.
  • Serve tomato moong dal.
