Ingredients

Serves 2

  • 1 tomato chopped finely

  • 1 medium onion chopped

  • 1/2 cup toor dhal

  • 1/2 cup moong daal yellow

  • 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste

  • to taste Salt or 1/2 teaspoon

  • 1/2 teaspoon Chilli powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon Dhaniya powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds

  • 1/2 teaspoon Jeera/cumin seeds

  • 1 Handful pudina leaves chopped( optional)

Directions

    First cook the two dals for 5 whistles with little oil and turmeric powder. Then take a kadhai add oil to it add mustard seeds, jeera, hing little turmeric and saute it.Let it splutter. Now add onions ginger garlic paste and cook well. Once cooked add chopped onions to it and cook well.

    Now it's time to add all the masala and 3 tablespoons of water and simmer for 1 min. Once done add the cooked dal with salt and half glass of water and simmer for 2 to three mins. You can dilute to the required consistency with water and simmer for 2 mins. Switch off the flame add chopped pudina and close it for 3 mins it will get cooked in retained heat. Garnish and serve.
