Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 5 medium size tomatoes


  • 2spoon ground nut oil


  • 1/2 spoon each mustard, jeera, methi


  • 3 slit green chilly


  • 1 cup finely chopped onion


  • 1/8 spoon turmeric


  • 1/4 cup tamarind juice


  • 1 small piece of jaggery


  • 1 spoon rasam powder


  • 3 spoon roasted and powdered gingelly/til


  • 1 spoon salt


  • 10 curry leaves

Directions

  • heat two spoon oill, add mustard, jeera, methi, green chillies, chopped onion and saute till golden
  • add cut tomatoes , turmeric, salt, and saute
  • add tamarind juice, jaggery, curry leaves
  • when tomatoes are done add rasam powder and gingelly powder . goes well with rice and rotis
