Ingredients

Serves : 2
  • 1/2 cup rice


  • 5 tomatoes


  • 2 potatoes


  • 1 tbsp oil/ghee


  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds


  • 1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds


  • 1/4 tsp asafoetida


  • 2 tsp salt


  • 3 cups water


  • 10-12 curry leaves

Directions

  • Blanch the tomatoes and then puree them
  • In a pressure cooker,heat oil or ghee.
  • Add cumin and fenugreek seeds and asafoetida. Add curry leaves.
  • Add the tomato puree and mix well.
  • Add rice ,cubed potatoes,salt and green chillies and mix well.
  • Add enough water and then close the cooker.
  • Cook on high flame for 2 whistles and then on low flame for 15 minutes.
  • Let the pressure go off and then serve hot.
