Stuffed Bitter gourd In Tomato Gravy

Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 250 gram bitter gourd


  • 3 tomatoes


  • 2 onions


  • 2 tsp curd


  • 2 tsp fenugreek seeds


  • 2 tsp fennel seeds


  • 2 tsp coriander seeds


  • 1 tsp cumin seeds


  • 2 tsp salt


  • 1 cup mustard oil for frying


  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder


  • 1/2 tsp turmeric


  • 1/2 tsp dry mango powder


  • 1/2 tsp garam masala

Directions

  • Peel of the bitter gourd and sprinkle half tsp salt on it, rest it for 15 minutes
  • Dry roast all the whole masala , let it cool and grind them
  • Now mix this roasted masala in the curd and other masalas ,mix them well
  • Now squeeze all the bitter gourds well because due to salt it will be filled with water
  • Fry all the bitter guards on high flame until golden brown
  • Fill this ready masala in the bitter gourds
  • Cut onions in big dice heat up 1 tbsp oil in a pan and fry these onions and remove from the pan. Keep them aside
  • Grind tomatoes and heat up again some oil add some cumin seeds, turmeric ,salt , red chilli powder and some garam masala.
  • After 2 minutes add tomato puree in it. Stir for 6 to 7 minutes
  • At last add fried onions and stuffed bitter gourds. Serve hot
