Kaiveeshal appam/egg jalebi is a Malabar tasty iftar snack. It taste's like fried pancake and texture looks like jalebi. It's a wonderful snack, and kids just love it!

Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • Egg - 3 (nos)


  • Maida - 1 cup


  • Sugar - 5 tablespoon (add to your taste)


  • Cardamom powder - 1/4 teaspoon


  • Salt - 1 to 2 (tsp to taste)


  • Oil - 2 1/2 tablespoon (as per required)

Directions

  • In a bowl, beat the eggs well with your hand. Add sugar, cardamom powder, salt and mix well.
  • Then add maida slowly to this till you get the flowing consistency, not too thin or too thick.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Take a coconut shell with a hole and add the prepared batter to this by closing the hole with one finger.
  • Bring it over the pan, remove the finger and pour it in a circular motion.
  • Fry both sides until done.
  • Repeat the same with the remaining batter.
  • That's it! Serve hot and enjoy :o)
