Ingredients

Serves : 5
  • 1 cup curd


  • 3/4 cup water


  • 1/2 cup gram flour (besan)


  • 3/4 tsp turmeric powder


  • 1 pinch heeng


  • 1 tsp chilli-ginger paste


  • 1 tsp salt


  • For tempering..1 tbsp oil


  • 1 tsp mustard seeds


  • 2 green chilly


  • 6-8 curry leaves


  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves

Directions

  • Beat curd,water and gram flour into a smooth batter
  • Put this mixture in microwave safe bowl and microwave at 80% power for 4-5 mins.
  • Mix salt,turmeric powder, heeng,chilly ginger paste and microwave at 80% power for 4-5 mins. or till it thickens.Stir in between.
  • When this mixture thickens spread it as a thin film in a thick polythene sheet with the help of a flat- bottom bowl.Allow to cool and cut out 1"×6" broad strips.Rill the strips and arrange on the serving dish.
  • To prepare tempering put oil in the microwave safe bowl.Microwave at 100% power for 30 secs.Add mustard seeds, green chilly,curry leaves and microwave at 100% power for 2-3 mins.
  • Sprinkle this tempering on khandvi and garnish it with coriander leaves
