Ingredients

Serves : 4
  • 2 spoon coriander seeds


  • 1 spoon jeera


  • 1/8 spoon turmeric


  • 3 1/2spoons mustard


  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander


  • 4 green chillies


  • 1 piece fresh coconut


  • 2 spoon oil


  • 1/8 spoon hing


  • 2 spoon salt


  • 1/2 cup tamarind juice


  • 1/2 spoon of jaggery


  • 1/2 spoon chilly powder


  • 15 curry leaves


  • 4 unripe green tomatoes

Directions

  • wash and cut green tomatoes
  • grind coriander seeds, jeera, pinch of turmeric
  • next add coriander, green chillies and fresh coconut and grind to paste by adding little water
  • heat two spoon oil jeera, pinch of hing, turmeric and the cut tomatoes
  • add salt and allow tomatoes to cook
  • add tamarind juice and small piece of jaggery
  • add the ground masala and boil for a while
  • add curry leaves and chilly powder
  • dish out and garnish. Goes well with rice and rotis
